Episode 1: DYNO-Stress!
Ford randomly selected an F-150 EcoBoost engine and put it to the test delivering over 10 years of tougher-than-life stress. Check out this video. It's amazing to see what they put this engine through, and it's only the beginning.
Episode 2: Haulin'
"We'll do it, but I think you guys are crazy!" That is what one logger said when Ford brought the same engine, that had already endured a lifetime of stress, 1900 miles to haul over 3-tons of dead weight. To put that in perspective, some of these logs outweigh the truck some 1200 lbs. Watch and see if the F-150 has what it takes.Episode 3: NASCAR Track Test
150,000 miles of intense DYNO stress, then it hauled 55 tons of timber and now it is RACE DAY! This is a true test of durability and longevity. It has the maximum load of 11,300 lbs. hooked up and then it's driven for 24 hours at top speeds. Will this same engine that has already endured so much be able to handle it?Episode 4: Head to Head
DYNO, Hauling timber and NASCAR… oh my! Now, it has traveled an additional 2500 miles to the Arizona desert to go head to head with Chevrolet and Dodge. Davis Dam provided an opportunity for a torque sprint pulling a 9,000 lb. trailer. The F-150 is a 3.5 liter EcoBoost engine, while the Dodge Ram is a 5.7. liter Hemi V8, and the Chevrolet Silverado is a 5.3 liter Vortec V8. So, who has the guts for the glory?Episode 5: Baja Bound!
